What You’ll Actually Do
• Design & Develop: Lead the design, development, and implementation of highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure cloud services and APIs using modern cloud-native architectures.
• Collaborate: Work closely with product management, architecture, and other engineering teams to define technical requirements, scope projects, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Improve Processes: Contribute to the continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes across our cloud environment.
• Technical Leadership: Actively participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions, while troubleshooting and resolving complex distributed system issues.
• Mentor & Guide: Mentor junior engineers, share knowledge, and promote best practices within the team and across the organization.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. The role requires a strong focus on building and operating cloud-based systems.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a specific concentration on building and operating cloud-based systems. Extensive experience is required with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and their associated services like EC2/Compute Engine, S3/Cloud Storage, RDS/Cloud SQL, and Kubernetes/EKS/GKE. Candidates should also possess a solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices architectures, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing paradigms.
• Skills: Proficiency in one or more programming languages, specifically Go, Python, or Java. Demonstrable experience with various database technologies, including both SQL and NoSQL types such as PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or MongoDB. Strong problem-solving skills are essential, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and propose effective solutions, alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly.
• Bonus: A Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, and configuration management tools. Familiarity with observability tools and practices including monitoring, logging, and tracing (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack). Prior experience with data streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis) or big data processing frameworks (Spark). Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal technical projects. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
