• Team: Reports to a Unit Coordinator, Clinical Manager, or Registered Nurse; supervises Nursing Assistants.
• Mission: Provides comprehensive nursing care, including medication and treatment administration, to ensure smooth day-to-day patient care unit operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Direct Patient Care: Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care for assigned patients, adhering to established care plans.
• Medication Management: Safely and accurately administer and safeguard all medications, including narcotics, via oral, intramuscular, and intravenous piggyback routes.
• Clinical Documentation: Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of all care provided, observations, interventions, and patient assessments.
• Transitions of Care: Assist with patient admission and discharge processes and support comprehensive patient education in collaboration with other disciplines.
• Policy Adherence & Collaboration: Administer nursing care safely and efficiently, strictly complying with hospital policies, and report critical patient observations promptly to the Registered Nurse.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career. Completion of a nursing program (e.g., ADN or BSN) is essential for this graduate nurse role.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to apply nursing knowledge and skills in a clinical setting, as gained through academic and practical training.
• Skills: Accurate medication administration (PO, IM, IV PB), IV line initiation and maintenance, thorough documentation, adherence to policies, and strong customer service skills.
• Bonus: Willingness to cross-train across various units, active participation in quality improvement initiatives, and successful completion of annual professional competencies.
