Financial Solutions Advisor – Advisor Development Program (Centralized Segment) | Merrill Wealth Management

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Merrill Wealth Management, operating within a centralized segment, requiring specific in-office attendance with some flexibility. Merrill is a leading global provider of comprehensive wealth management and investment products and services for individuals, companies, and institutions, specializing in goals-based wealth management. This role is crucial for helping clients pursue their envisioned lives through personalized relationships and expert guidance, all while developing future financial advisors through a dedicated and structured program.

• Team: Centralized team within the Advisor Development Program, receiving support and one-on-one coaching from Academy managers.
• Mission: To develop and equip phone-based licensed advisors to provide holistic financial advice, manage client portfolios, and progress into a Merrill Financial Advisor role.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Licensure & Training: Undertake comprehensive support and dedicated classes to obtain your Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 Exams, with strict deadlines for successful licensure.
• Client Advisory: Provide phone-based, holistic financial advice and guidance to affluent and high net worth clients, identifying broader product and service solutions for their investment, savings, and liability management needs.
• Relationship Building: Master the foundational skills of acquiring, building, and managing client relationships, reviewing investment goals, and preparing tailored investment recommendations that align with client objectives.
• Career Advancement: Progress through defined stages of development, from a Financial Solutions Advisor (FSA) to a Merrill Financial Solutions Advisor (MFSA), with a clear and structured path towards a Merrill Financial Advisor role.
• Strategic Alignment: Apply profound knowledge of investments and financial markets, strategically aligning Merrill and Bank of America products and services to meet virtually all of clients’ financial needs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An early career professional demonstrating confidence in a sales role and a commitment to completing a rigorous advisor development program.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of financial services industry or sales experience, or a Bachelor’s degree. You must obtain your SIE within 60 days of hire and your Series 7 & 66 within 120 days.
• Skills: Builds strong client relationships through effective communication; displays a proactive mindset and effective time management; demonstrates a results-driven mindset and prioritizes client interests; identifies appropriate client solutions through application of learnings; applies relevant regulatory due diligence.
• Bonus: Possesses a Bachelor’s degree; learns and adapts effectively to new technology or applications; capable of executing multiple tasks simultaneously.
