What You’ll Actually Do
• Deliver personalized 1-on-1 online Algebra instruction to individual students.
• Set and manage your own flexible tutoring schedule and availability.
• Utilize the Live Learning Platform and AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance teaching sessions and reduce prep time.
• Break down complex algebraic problems, guide students through word problems, and explain various techniques like factoring and graphing functions.
• Adapt teaching methods and use visual aids to meet diverse learning styles and individual student needs, from middle school through early college.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Deep knowledge of core Algebra topics including linear and quadratic equations, polynomials, rational expressions, systems of equations, inequalities, absolute value, and exponents.
• Experience: Skilled at breaking down multi-step algebraic problems, guiding students through function analysis, emphasizing conceptual understanding over rote memorization, and connecting algebra to real-world scenarios.
• Skills: Advanced subject mastery in Algebra; familiarity with standard Algebra I curricula and common student challenges; strong communication and an engaging teaching style; ability to adapt instruction using multiple approaches and visual aids.
