What You’ll Actually Do
• System Design: Lead the design and implementation of new backend services, APIs, and data models, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Code Development: Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable code for critical backend components and microservices.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize database queries, and improve system latency and throughput.
• Reliability & Stability: Implement robust monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions, and participate in on-call rotations to support production systems and ensure high availability.
• Technical Leadership: Drive best practices in software engineering, including design patterns and coding standards, while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical discussions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, with a strong focus on building scalable and distributed systems.
• Skills: Expert-level proficiency in at least one modern backend language such as Python, Go, Java, or C#; extensive experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or Redis, including database design, indexing, and query optimization; proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs or GraphQL services; hands-on experience with major cloud providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and their services including EC2, S3, Lambda, Kubernetes, and Docker; and a solid understanding of distributed systems concepts, microservices architecture, message queues like Kafka or RabbitMQ, and caching mechanisms.
• Bonus: Experience with event-driven architectures; familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices; contributions to open-source projects; experience with real-time data processing or stream processing frameworks; or a background in AI/ML, FinTech, or Healthcare.
