What We Look For In a Math 3 Tutor

  • Emphasize mathematical modeling and connect advanced functions to real-world applications in biology, physics, and financial analysis.
• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction:
  • Familiarity with Integrated Math 3 curricula and Common Core standards.
  • Understanding of common student challenges, such as graphing rational functions, comprehending logarithmic scales, and applying the normal distribution.
  • Ability to adapt instruction using graphing technology, data analysis projects, and cumulative review strategies to support students preparing for AP Mathematics, SAT, or college-level coursework.
• Effective Teaching Methods:
  • Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with and explain material using multiple approaches.
