As an SAT Math Tutor, you will play a crucial role in empowering students nationwide to improve their test scores and readiness. This role offers the flexibility to set your own schedule while making a direct impact on students’ educational journeys.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Instruction: Deliver personalized 1-on-1 SAT Math instruction to individual students, including through on-demand requests.
• Strategy: Teach multiple solution pathways, estimation techniques, and pattern recognition to improve strategic problem-solving and time management skills for students.
• Adaptation: Adapt instructional methods, including timed practice sections, error analysis, and targeted drills, to address student weaknesses and diverse learning styles.
• Content Expertise: Explain all SAT Math topics comprehensively, differentiating calculator versus no-calculator strategies and grid-in formatting for score maximization.
• Administration: Invoice accurately for all completed tutoring sessions, allowing Varsity Tutors to manage payment logistics.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Deep knowledge of all SAT Math topics, including linear equations, quadratic functions, geometry, trigonometry, and complex numbers, demonstrated by a minimum SAT Math score of 720.
• Experience: Proven ability to significantly improve students’ SAT Math subscores through effective tutoring and comprehensive test readiness strategies.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, an engaging teaching style, and the ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning needs using multiple approaches and real-time instructional support tools.
