The Opportunity: Senior Product Manager
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Product Manager to join our dynamic product team. In this pivotal role, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for a key product area, driving significant value for our customers and business. Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Vision: Define and evangelize the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for your assigned product area, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives, market trends, and customer needs.
- Market & Customer Research: Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and gather customer insights through interviews, surveys, user testing, and data analysis to identify unmet needs, pain points, and emerging opportunities.
- Requirements Definition: Translate complex business problems and user needs into clear, concise, and actionable product requirements (PRDs, user stories, use cases), complete with acceptance criteria.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with engineering, UX/UI design, data science, marketing, sales, and customer support teams throughout the entire product lifecycle, from discovery to launch and iteration. Act as the product owner in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, leading backlog grooming and sprint planning.
- Go-to-Market (GTM): Partner with marketing and sales to develop and execute successful launch plans for new products and features, including messaging, pricing strategies, sales enablement, and internal training.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Define key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze product usage data, A/B test hypotheses, and continuously iterate on features to improve user engagement, retention, and achieve defined business goals.
- Stakeholder Management: Proactively communicate product plans, progress, risks, and results to internal stakeholders at all levels, fostering transparency, alignment, and buy-in across the organization.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance, share best practices, and contribute to the growth and development of more junior product managers and team members within the product organization.
Qualifications
Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in product management, with a strong track record of successfully launching and managing complex SaaS products or features from conception to launch and iteration.
- Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of software development processes, modern web/mobile technologies, and data infrastructure. Ability to engage effectively with engineering teams.
- Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to use data, analytics, and qualitative insights to inform product decisions, define success metrics, and measure impact. Proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, Google Analytics).
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to think strategically, identify market opportunities, and translate a long-term vision into an actionable product roadmap.
- Collaboration: Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, and dynamic environment, balancing multiple priorities and managing ambiguity effectively.
Preferred:
- MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with [specific industry/domain, e.g., AI/ML products, enterprise software, developer tools, B2B SaaS].
- Prior experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment as a Product Owner.
- Experience with user experience (UX) principles and design thinking methodologies.
- Familiarity with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Productboard, Figma.
