What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead: Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, reliable, and secure software components and microservices.
• Collaborate: Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and other engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Architect: Architect and build robust APIs, data pipelines, and backend systems capable of handling large data volumes and complex computational tasks.
• Review: Perform code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure high code quality across the team.
• Mentor: Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering their technical growth and promoting knowledge sharing.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. This is a senior-level position requiring expertise in backend systems development.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on backend systems. Extensive experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and familiarity with cloud-native architectures such as Kubernetes and Docker. Demonstrated experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Skills: Expert proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Java, Go, or C#. Solid understanding of both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) database systems. Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design principles, and software design patterns. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Bonus: Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues (e.g., Kafka). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Prior experience in a leadership or mentoring role.
