Investor Relations Summer Intern

The Investor Relations (IR) Summer Intern will work directly with the Vice President of Investor Relations at IDEX Corporation. This role is designed for a high-performing undergraduate student interested in finance, capital markets, and the application of advanced analytics and AI within a corporate environment. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to investor relations, FP&A collaboration, financial modeling, and executive-level communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in integrating Artificial Intelligence tools into IR processes, including data collection, peer analysis, financial analysis, script drafting, Q&A prep, and note-taking.
• Support the organization, maintenance, and enhancement of IR data repositories, ensuring alignment with FP&A data sources and financial reporting outputs.
• Help maintain and improve the Investor Relations Excel-based financial forecast model ensuring accurate linkages between the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
• Assist with scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and model updates in support of earnings preparation and investor discussions.
• Support the preparation, updating, and formatting of PowerPoint presentations for earnings calls, investor meetings, conferences, and internal leadership updates.
• Perform ad hoc analytical projects related to investor positioning, peer benchmarking, and market intelligence as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial modeling is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated interest in capital markets or corporate finance.
• Comfort working with large data sets.
• Interest in applying AI or automation tools to improve workflows.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Total Rewards

The starting compensation for this position is $23.00 per hour. This position may be eligible for performance-based bonus plan.
