Social Media and Video Intern | Age of Learning®

The Tone:
This is a purposeful part-time internship at Age of Learning, located in Glendale, CA (Hybrid). The company is a global leader, developing engaging and effective Pre-K through 5th grade learning resources like ABCmouse.com, My Math Academy, and My Reading Academy. These products help children build a strong foundation for academic success and cultivate a lifelong love of learning. This intern will play a key role in creating compelling social media and video content that promotes this mission, contributing their talents and creativity to advance equity, access, and opportunity for all children.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Creative Brainstorming: Brainstorm ideas for social video creatives, including proposing ad copy and writing visual treatments.
• Visual Content Creation: Capture in-game visuals across all main products for use in marketing projects.
• Video Editing: Complete video editing tasks for social media and web, converting existing projects into various aspect ratios.
• Content Production Support: Assist the social media team on video shoots with talent coordination, on-set PA work, and behind-the-scenes filming.
• Performance Tracking: Track and report on social media trends, and assist in data entry for content performance.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be a 3rd or 4th-year undergraduate or graduate student, preferably focused in Marketing, film production, film studies, screenwriting, or a related field, with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Experience: Must be available at least 25 hours per week for a 10-week summer internship program. This role requires working in a hybrid environment, with the ability to work in person at our Glendale, CA headquarters a minimum of two days per week. Candidates must have familiarity with major social media platforms, specifically TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. Experience includes comfort with using and filming content on an iPhone, and a willingness to occasionally appear on camera for social media videos.
• Skills: Demonstrates strong attention to detail, coupled with self-motivation and excellent organizational and time management abilities. Possesses the capacity to effectively take direction and ensure excellent follow-through on tasks. Exhibits strong written and verbal communication skills, along with a robust ability to solve problems quickly and creatively. Proven capacity to work both independently and as an effective member of a collaborative team.
• Bonus: Basic knowledge and proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, and Capcut. Basic knowledge and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
