We are seeking a Junior Tableau Administrator with 2-3 years total IT experience and a foundational understanding of dashboard development to support our business intelligence team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is passionate about data visualization, dashboard design, and supporting Tableau Server operations.

The ideal candidate will help manage Tableau environments and contribute to the design and development of impactful dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Tableau Administration:

• Assist in the administration and maintenance of Tableau Server (user access, site creation, permissions, scheduling extracts)
• Monitor server performance and troubleshoot basic issues
• Work with senior admins on upgrades, patches, and performance tuning
• Ensure data security and compliance through access controls and permissions

Dashboard Development:

• Collaborate with analysts and business users to gather reporting requirements
• Design, build, and enhance interactive Tableau dashboards and visualizations
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability of reports
• Perform basic data analysis and validation to support dashboard integrity

Support & Documentation:

• Provide user support and training for Tableau dashboards
• Create and maintain documentation for dashboards and administrative procedures
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts

Required Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience with Tableau (Desktop and/or Server)
• Basic experience in dashboard/report development
• Familiarity with data visualization best practices
• Understanding of SQL and relational databases
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve Tableau-related issues
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Tableau Server Administration
• Familiarity with data sources like Excel, SQL Server, Google BigQuery, etc.
• Exposure to ETL processes or tools is a plus
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python or Shell) is a bonus
