Business Process Analyst 1-2 (Junior/Associate-Level) | UNCOMN
The Tone:
This is an early career Business Process Analyst role at UNCOMN, with an onsite requirement at Naval Station Norfolk or a designated partner facility in the Norfolk, Hampton, or Virginia Beach area. UNCOMN delivers secure solutions that power essential operations in both the public and private sectors, tackling tough challenges from improving organizational systems to streamlining logistics and making sense of complex data. This role is for an Uncommon Genius who loves solving puzzles, building new things, fixing what’s broken, or pushing the boundaries of creativity, helping clients succeed by enhancing their operational processes.
The TL;DR

• Mission: To analyze, diagnose, and resolve business process problems, making recommendations for improvement and documenting workflows for clients.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite, Visio or related BPM tools
What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze & Solve: Lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex problems, and facilitate sessions to diagnose and resolve varied issues.
• Document & Report: Prepare file defect reports, communicate test progress, and create accurate documentation using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Manage Processes: Lead change control and scope management efforts.
• Improve Operations: Make basic-to-moderate business process and organizational improvement recommendations.
• Map Processes: Participate in Business Process Mapping (BPM) sessions and document process flows in Visio or related tools.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of related professional experience. US citizenship required for eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Experience: Self-motivated with experience working independently in an ambiguous professional environment. Must be comfortable working full-time onsite at Naval Station Norfolk or a designated partner facility within the Norfolk, Hampton, or Virginia Beach area, and meeting DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF)/8140 requirements.
• Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s of Science degree in a similar field/course of study; active professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+; active DoD security clearance; prior military and/or government contracting experience; experience participating in software or vendor/product evaluation and selection processes.
