What You’ll Actually Do
• Architecture: Lead and contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of new features and services for core platforms.
• Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to design specifications.
• Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering continuous improvement within the team.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to define requirements and deliver effective solutions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a preference for a Master’s degree.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a significant portion in a senior or lead capacity. This includes extensive experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs, along with proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Skills: Expert proficiency in at least one of Java, Python, Go, C#, or JavaScript (Node.js); solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles; strong problem-solving and communication skills; and demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor team members.
• Bonus: Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ), familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, experience with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) for full-stack roles, knowledge of testing methodologies, or contributions to open-source projects.
