What You’ll Actually Do
• Training & Skill Development: Train comprehensively as a Culinarian, diligently learning and practicing the full job description and duties essential for a cook role.
• Compliance & Food Safety: Utilize and adhere to all company food and beverage procedures, ensuring full compliance with health department regulations and federal guidelines, including proper food handling and storage.
• Quality & Consistency: Meticulously check the freshness of all foods and ingredients, and ensure that all recipes and portion-use records are strictly followed for consistent dish quality and presentation.
• Operational Support: Actively assist in efforts to maintain efficient food cost and labor cost standards, and perform other duties as assigned to support overall kitchen and dining operations.
• Guest & Team Engagement: Remain aware of guest feedback scores to positively influence overall rankings, and foster a positive and productive work environment by promoting cooperation and respect among all coworkers.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career level with basic knowledge of cooking and preparation equipment.
• Experience: Foundational cooking skills covering sautéing, broiling, frying, roasting, butchery, garde manger, pantry, and breakfast cookery.
• Skills: Adherence to food handling and storage procedures, compliance with health department and federal regulations, recipe and portion control.
• Bonus: Culinary education or apprenticeship.
