Job Title: Insights & Analytics Intern

A Day In The Life (Key Responsibilities)

As an Insights & Analytics Intern, you will be an up & coming tech wizard working behind the scenes. This role is focused on data requirements & integrity, extrapolations & insertions, integration, and utilizing advanced Excel functions, formulas, and algorithms. You will play a crucial role in supporting the improvement of efficiencies across data collection, measurement, reporting, and analytics. While the focus will be primarily on social listening, your contributions will extend to various analytical tasks. We are looking for a critical thinker who is eager to dive deep into data.

The Impact You’ll Make

By joining our team, you will significantly contribute to our data-driven strategies by:

  • Efficiently and properly validating digital marketing data through rigorous Quality Assurance (QA).
  • Supporting the data analyst team on related data extrapolation and visualization projects, primarily utilizing Power BI within the Microsoft Fabric workspace.
  • Assisting in the creation and consolidation of standardization and documentation for processes and data dictionaries.
  • Conducting in-depth data analysis to measure and interpret results against established benchmarks, historical data, and industry standards.
  • Interpreting complex Social Listening data and effectively communicating discernible trends.
  • Applying creative and critical thinking skills to clearly present ideas and communicate effectively with team leaders, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Who You Are (Qualifications)

We are looking for an ambitious and driven individual who meets the following criteria:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Math, Economics, Quantitative Marketing, Data Analytics, Data Science, or Data Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with MS Azure and Power BI.
  • Intermediate user of social listening platforms such as QUID (Netbase, Rival IQ).
  • Intermediate user of Excel, demonstrating expertise in pivot tables, advanced macros, and data aggregation.
  • Experience with editing and writing coding & query languages (SQL, M-Code, DAX, Python, Boolean, etc.) is a significant plus.
  • Experience with data modeling, star schema, and MS Fabric is also a plus.
  • Must be proactive and focused, detail-oriented, self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
