New Graduate Physical Therapist | Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy

This is an early career Physical Therapist position at Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy, with clinics located throughout Long Island, Westchester, Brooklyn, Queens, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. Metro is a comprehensive multidisciplinary company offering a range of therapy services. This role is vital for new graduates to successfully transition from student to practicing clinician, developing essential skills and confidence within a supportive and collaborative outpatient environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Evaluation: Evaluate a patient’s need for physical therapy and develop an appropriate treatment plan.
• Patient Care: Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plans, agency policy, and professional standards of care.
• Caregiver Instruction: Instruct family members, PTAs, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate physical therapy techniques.
• Professional Mentorship: Engage in individualized mentorship to support your transition from student to practicing clinician.
• Skill Development: Utilize hands-on learning opportunities to develop and refine your clinical skills.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of New York or eligible.
• Experience: New graduate experience or eligibility for licensure.
• Skills: Ability to evaluate patient needs and develop treatment plans; capacity to provide appropriate care and treatment; skill in instructing caregivers; mandatory First Aid, AED, and CPR Certifications.
