What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Development: Drive the full software development lifecycle from conception to deployment, including design, coding, testing, and maintenance of critical systems.
• Architectural Contribution: Participate in and contribute to architectural discussions, helping to define technical strategies and best practices for the core platform.
• Ensure Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable code; conduct thorough code reviews and mentor peers to maintain high code quality.
• Resolve Complex Issues: Diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges across distributed systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate Cross-functionally: Work closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and other engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver impactful features.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, with a strong focus on backend systems.
• Experience: 5+ years of progressive professional experience in software development, including designing, building, and maintaining highly scalable and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
• Skills: Exceptional proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, Go, Python, C#); strong expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes); in-depth knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases; proficiency with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous communication patterns (Kafka, RabbitMQ); solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns; experience with Git.
• Bonus: Experience with performance tuning and optimization of large-scale systems, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices, proven ability to lead technical initiatives, contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal technical projects, experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment, or knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
