In this role, you will significantly impact students’ academic success and understanding by guiding them towards Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst certification, all while enjoying the flexibility of setting your own schedule and working from home.

• Mission: Provide personalized online tutoring to help students prepare for and achieve Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCABA) certification.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Deliver: Provide personalized, one-on-one online tutoring to individual students preparing for the Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) examination.
• Teach: Guide students through strategic test-taking and problem-solving, including behavior-analytic concept application, ethical scenario analysis, and data interpretation relevant to the BCABA examination.
• Instruct: Explain core BCABA content such as reinforcement schedules, functional behavior assessment, and behavior intervention planning, connecting theoretical principles to applied behavior analysis practice.
• Adapt: Adjust instructional methods using practice examinations, behavior-analytic case studies, and data analysis exercises to support BCaBA candidates and address common challenges.
• Utilize: Leverage the platform’s personalized student matching system to connect with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise.
• Support: Use AI-powered tools like Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions with real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features, saving prep time.
• Handle: Manage invoicing for tutoring sessions, with Varsity Tutors handling all payment logistics and ensuring timely compensation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess deep knowledge of all BCABA examination content, specifically including basic behavior-analytic skills, philosophical underpinnings, concepts, principles of behavior analysis, measurement, data display, experimental design, behavior-change procedures, and ethical responsibilities.
• Experience: Skilled at teaching students to identify functions of behavior, select appropriate measurement procedures, design behavior intervention plans, interpret graphed data, and apply the BACB Ethics Code to professional scenarios. Experience with the BCABA Task List content and common student challenges is essential.
• Skills: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles. Requires strong communication skills to maintain a friendly, engaging teaching style, and overall adaptability to different student needs.
