The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Lowe’s, located in one of their retail stores. Lowe’s is a FORTUNE® 100 home improvement company serving millions of customer transactions weekly across its vast network of stores. This role is crucial for ensuring a smooth and efficient shopping experience for customers, providing leadership and support to front-end associates, and maintaining essential store operational and safety standards.

• Team: Supervises CSA Front End Team (Front End/Loaders).
• Mission: Ensure seamless customer transactions and efficient front-end operations while providing leadership and maintaining store standards.
• Tech Stack: Cash register, Zebra phone, telephone, paging system, copiers, fax machines, computers, CCTV surveillance system

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Engagement: Monitor multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously, proactively assisting customers and recommending products or services.
• Transaction Management: Process sales, returns, and refunds accurately on a cash register, ensuring correct monetary change for CSA Front End associates.
• Team Leadership: Provide supervision, coaching, and support to the CSA Front End Team, including training associates and opening additional registers as needed for coverage.
• Operational Oversight: Prepare the register area for shifts, inspect returned merchandise for damage, and manage online orders and store use lists.
• Safety & Security: Monitor cash drawer limits, identify and report signs of shoplifting or other security risks to management, and ensure a clean and safe store environment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Demonstrated knowledge of retail operations and customer service principles.
• Experience: 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier.
• Skills: Proficient in operating a cash register, comfortable using common retail technology (smartphones, tablets, computers for data entry), capable of lifting items up to 15 pounds, and skilled in monitoring store entrances/exits for security.
• Bonus: High school diploma or equivalent; 1 to 2 years of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs (including credit cards, installations, add-on sales); 1 to 2 years of experience as a head cashier; 1 to 2 years of experience working in any department at a Lowe’s retail store; 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience (directing, delegating, evaluating, training, coaching); Less than a year of retail experience detecting common signs of shoplifting.
