Data Integration Development Intern | Leidos
The Tone:
This is an internship at Leidos, located remotely. Leidos is an industry and technology leader serving government and commercial customers with smarter, more efficient digital and mission innovations. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience designing and supporting enterprise data integrations within a structured, secure, and well-governed environment. The team develops and maintains data integrations that enable secure information exchange between enterprise platforms, including Workday and other internal and external applications.

• Mission: This person supports the development and testing of structured data transformations within defined development and testing environments.
• Tech Stack: XSLT, XML, APIs, REST, SOAP, Java, Workday
What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: Enhance and maintain XSLT transformations supporting Workday inbound and outbound integrations.
• Support: Assist with integration development lifecycle activities including design, build, test, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot: Identify and resolve integration and data transformation issues.
• Document: Aid in outlining integration logic, technical specifications, and mapping requirements.
• Assist: Support API-based integrations using REST and/or SOAP web services.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program. US citizenship is required. Possess foundational knowledge of APIs and system integration concepts.
• Experience: Familiarity with one or more object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Java).
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Bonus: Demonstrated experience with XSLT, which can include academic projects, coursework, or prior internship experience.
