This immersive internship offers invaluable hands-on experience by integrating you directly into field operations on active, large-scale infrastructure projects across various states.

We specialize in critical heavy civil construction areas, including extensive earthwork, complex utility installations, robust concrete structures, and essential roadway construction. What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with daily field operations and crew coordination: Gain practical experience in managing day-to-day site activities and ensuring efficient crew deployment and task assignment.
  • Participate in jobsite safety meetings and inspections: Actively contribute to maintaining a safe work environment by attending and engaging in crucial safety discussions and site walk-throughs.
  • Support scheduling, production tracking, and reporting: Learn the fundamentals of project management by helping to monitor progress, track productivity metrics, and compile essential reports.
  • Help coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractors: Understand the logistics of construction by assisting with the timely procurement and deployment of resources and managing subcontractor interactions.
  • Work alongside superintendents to support project execution: Shadow and collaborate with experienced superintendents, gaining direct insight into strategic decision-making and operational oversight.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Students pursuing Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related degrees: Ideal candidates will be enrolled in programs directly applicable to heavy civil construction.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to project sites: This role requires flexibility and readiness to relocate or travel extensively to various project locations within our operational regions.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety: A proactive, diligent approach to work and a fundamental understanding of safety protocols are essential.
  • Ability to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment: Candidates must be comfortable and capable of working in various outdoor conditions and adapting to a demanding construction schedule.
