The Tone:
This is an unpaid, entirely online internship at Blackmont Consulting, a student-run organization established in 2020. The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Part-time, Flexible (approximately 10-12 hours per week, self-paced)
• Location: Remote (conducted entirely online)

• Team: Collaborates closely in teams of 6-8 individuals, drawing from diverse backgrounds and disciplines to tackle challenging projects.
• Mission: Provide outstanding business solutions to clients by applying rigorous analysis and developing innovative strategies to achieve practical results and create greater shareholder returns.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Collaborative Project Execution: Work in teams of 6-8 individuals to effectively tackle real-world business problems throughout the project lifecycle.
• Strategic Solution Development: Develop innovative solutions and strategic suggestions for complex client situations, ensuring goals and objectives are met and results are delivered on time, including determining strategies and tools to target new and current clients.
• In-depth Research & Analysis: Develop primary research sources among relevant industry contacts, customers, suppliers, and competitors, and understand sector, currency, political, and regulatory risks where applicable.
• Financial Analysis & Modeling: Perform comprehensive financial analysis and modeling of companies under coverage, including analyzing financial performance, returns on capital, and valuation.
• Data Interpretation & Presentation: Identify critical information sources, gather and interpret data, execute thorough analysis, and present findings clearly to case team members and client stakeholders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled as a first, second, or final year university student, with Master’s and PhD students also welcome to apply. This role is open to students eager to contribute to outstanding business solutions.
• Experience: Ability to commit to this unpaid position for a minimum of three months. Successful applicants must become a Blackmont Member via the website, with the membership fee allocated to cover organizational maintenance costs like website hosting, software programs, and training.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, proficiency in financial analysis and modeling, and demonstrated ability to conduct primary research and interpret complex data.
• Bonus: Previous working experience is advantageous, though not essential, for this program.
