The Tone:
This is an internship at Diazyme, located in Poway, California. Diazyme, an affiliate of General Atomics, is a cGMP and ISO 13485 certified medical device manufacturer that utilizes proprietary enzyme technologies to develop advanced diagnostic reagents. These reagents offer user-friendly solutions for clinical diagnostics, compatible with most automated chemistry analyzers, and are used for diagnosing and monitoring various conditions. This role provides an exciting opportunity for an undergraduate student to gain hands-on experience in a leading medical device manufacturing environment, contributing to daily laboratory operations and problem-solving within the Biotechnician team.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Laboratory Support: Assist in completing various laboratory tasks and processes.
• Problem Solving: Apply foundational knowledge to analyze, investigate, and help resolve technical problems.
• Documentation: Contribute to the development of documentation, including electronic and hard copy reports, records, diagrams, and charts.
• Compliance: Strictly adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company obligations during business operations.
• Safety Adherence: Work safely by consistently following established operating procedures and practices to ensure a secure work environment.
