Event Services Coordinator (Temporary)

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to assist our Event Services Director with crucial aspects of hospitality, sponsorship activation, and client services for a premier golf tournament.
Qualifications
- Graduating senior or graduate student in an accredited four-year college or university, or currently possess a bachelor’s degree.
- Preferred Majors: Sports Marketing/Management, Marketing, Communications, or comparable fields.
- Experience: Prior sporting event experience is preferred.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Work closely with the Event Services Director and Event Services Manager to coordinate all aspects of managing a professional golf tournament.
- Volunteer Administration: Assist with the comprehensive management of the volunteer program, including the application process, data entry, communication with volunteers and chairmen, volunteer package preparation, and headquarters management.
- Assist the Event Services Director in organizing and executing various key events and meetings, such as:
- Sponsor Day
- Honorary Observers
- Women in Business Event
- Media Day
- Am-Am (Amateur-Amateur Tournament)
- Other smaller events/meetings
- Responsible for inventory management of tournament apparel, prizes, and related items.
- Oversee the management of incoming tournament-related shipments.
- Update and maintain materials related to corporate hospitality, players, and volunteers.
- Manage the tournament hospitality guide and assist with communication to corporate clients.
- Provide general administrative support, including answering phones, purchasing, and billing.
Skill Set Requirements
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills are crucial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to take initiative and be proactive in accomplishing tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and perform effectively under pressure.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently.
- Physical Requirement: Some heavy lifting and manual labor may be required.
Logistics
LOCATION: Atlanta, GA
DATES & HOURS: June 2026 – Early September 2026
- Applicant must be willing to work long hours prior to and during the tournament (event dates are August 24 – 30, 2026).
- Work Week Breakdown:
- End of May/June: 30 – 40 hour weeks
- July – September: 40 – 100 hour weeks (intensive period)
- This is an hourly paid position.
- Applicant is responsible for their own food & lodging expenses during employment.
