ENGINEERING INTERN | StandardAero

The Tone:
This is an Engineering Internship at StandardAero, located in Dallas, TX, for the summer of 2026. StandardAero is a recognized industry leader in Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services and customized solutions within the aerospace field, using ingenuity and expertise to find solutions for aviation’s most complex challenges. • Mission: To support Maintenance Repair and Overhaul operations by organizing, updating, and ensuring compliance of the DFW Repair Center’s tooling.
• Tech Stack: MS Office products (Excel, Project, Word), Autocad, Auto desk, Solidworks, Fusion.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support MRO Operations: Partner directly with existing production engineering teams to provide crucial support for Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operations located in Dallas, TX.
• Enhance Tooling Management: Actively organize, update, and ensure compliance activities related to the DFW Repair Center tooling inventory for various component repair teams.
• Document and Standardize Tooling: Upload essential product line tooling documents into the “SAMenu” database, create necessary tool drawings, and develop tooling equivalency documents for locally designed tools to ensure consistency.
• Maintain Tooling Data: Update tooling identification to align with appropriate product identification standards, record calibration requirements, and accurately input tooling locations into the “SAMenu” database.
• Contribute to Engineering Projects: Collaborate with experienced engineers on diverse project types including Repair Industrialization initiatives, the design and manufacture of specialized tools and fixtures, and process improvement efforts aimed at enhancing efficiency.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing an engineering degree, having successfully completed courses at the sophomore level or equivalent.
• Experience: Availability for a full 10-12 week internship term starting mid-May 2026, requiring on-site presence in Dallas, TX, with responsibility for securing personal lodging.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office products, including Excel, Project, and Word; possession of excellent communication skills; strong self-motivation; and effective organizational abilities.
• Bonus: Practical experience or familiarity with drawing software such as Autocad, Autodesk, Solidworks, or Fusion.
