• Mission: Prepare for a Territory Sales Representative role by completing an immersive sales training and development program, thereby building foundational sales capabilities and contributing to future revenue growth.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Training & Development: Complete the Black and Gold Academy, learning professional selling skills, account management, territory planning, and Herc Rentals’ full product and service portfolio.
• Field Experience: Shadow Territory Sales Representatives and experienced sales leaders, observing customer interactions, understanding project needs, and assisting with lead generation and revenue growth.
• Operational Understanding: Learn core branch operations, including equipment processes, logistics coordination, and customer service functions, while gaining exposure to specialty segments like Industrial and Energy Services.
• Career Advancement: Prepare for full-time placement into a Territory Sales Representative role, receiving coaching and gaining visibility with leadership for long-term career opportunities in sales and sales leadership.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career professional with 0–5 years of sales or relevant customer-facing experience, with an associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience: Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel within an assigned territory, demonstrating an interest in a long-term sales career with opportunities for advancement.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, a competitive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented mindset, and the ability to manage time effectively while applying feedback.
