This role is crucial for leveraging data to uncover insights that drive decisions across editorial, business development, and digital strategy, directly impacting how content is tailored to meet audience needs and improve engagement.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Full-time (40 hrs/week)
• Location: New York, NY (On-site)
• Pay: $20 hourly
• Team: Data & Analytics Team, working closely with data scientists, machine learning experts, and business stakeholders
• Mission: Uncover key insights from complex datasets to drive decisions across editorial, business development, and digital strategy, directly impacting content tailoring, audience engagement, and marketing strategies.
• Tech Stack: Python, R, Tableau, Power BI

What You’ll Actually Do
• Design and develop machine learning models in collaboration with data science, machine learning, and technology teams.
• Support the creation, maintenance, and delivery of data-driven products.
• Translate business stakeholder data needs into functional requirements.
• Engage in the end-to-end data lifecycle, including data ingestion, ETL, exploratory data analysis, and visualization, to identify trends and insights.
• Refine statistical approaches to optimize targeting, attribution, and engagement strategies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or a recent graduate (within the past year) in Data Science, Data Analytics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Physics, or a related field with a strong foundation in statistics and coding.
• Experience: Proficiency in data analysis, coding (e.g., Python, R), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Ability to handle large datasets accurately with strong attention to detail.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to using data to drive decision-making.
• Bonus: Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work on multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive data.
