Software Engineer – Entry Level at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A)

As a Software Engineer – Entry Level, you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks, contributing to the development and enhancement of complex software systems. This role offers the opportunity to:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems, including:
- Processing-intensive analytics
- Novel algorithm development
- Manipulation of extremely large data sets
- Real-time systems
- Business management information systems
All based upon documented requirements.
- Contribute to cutting-edge development programs and design new solutions.
- Innovate RF signal processing applications.
- Develop analytics, visualization, and discovery tools.
- Integrate new and legacy software across a variety of hardware form factors.
- Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements, document test results, and resolve software problem reports.
- Provide specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Experience And Qualifications
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
Required Education And Years Of Experience
- No demonstrated experience is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Alternatively, four (4) years of additional Software Engineer (SWE) experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance.
- Proficiency working in Linux development environments.
- Proficiency coding in Python, C++, Java, or JavaScript.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Software-Defined Radio (SDR) programming.
- Experience with geospatial processing.
- Experience coding 2D and 3D image displays.
- Experience with GitLab, GitHub, or similar version control tools.
- Experience with Jira/Confluence or similar project management tools.
Work Environment
- Telework/Remote Availability: Telework/Remote work currently not authorized.
- Work Location(s): Annapolis Junction, MD.
Summary Pay Range
The information below serves as a general guideline only. Pay is determined based on candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
$89,500 – $111,500
