About the Job: Construction Solutions Intern
NBS is seeking a highly motivated full or part-time intern to join our dynamic Construction Solutions team. This unique role offers a comprehensive opportunity to gain broad exposure to the construction industry, actively participating in project teams from the initial design and estimating phases through project management and final execution.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist Project Engineers with critical tasks including document control, RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and comprehensive project tracking.
- Provide essential support to Project Managers by assisting with scheduling, budgeting updates, and various coordination tasks.
- Help maintain meticulously organized project files, both digital and physical.
- Actively participate in project meetings, contributing by taking detailed meeting notes.
- Assist in the preparation of professional reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Coordinate effectively with subcontractors and vendors as needed.
- Perform general administrative tasks, including accurate data entry and document preparation.
- Conduct site visits (if applicable) to observe construction progress and assist field teams, gaining valuable on-site experience.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Business, Architecture, or another related field.
- A highly motivated and proactive self-starter with initiative.
- Demonstrates a strong willingness and eager desire to learn.
- Possesses the ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative team player who thrives in group settings.
- Exhibits strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
