What You’ll Actually Do
• Specimen Introduction: You will be responsible for the initial intake and introduction of various biological specimens into the laboratory workflow, ensuring they are correctly logged and ready for subsequent steps.
• Specimen Preparation: Accurately prepare biological specimens by following established protocols, which is crucial for maintaining integrity and ensuring reliable results in the analytical phase.
• Sample Aliquoting: Carefully open original specimen containers and precisely pour off samples into designated secondary containers, a critical step that prepares them for specific analyses and testing procedures.
• Information Verification: Meticulously verify and cross-reference patient demographic information against the accompanying test requisition forms to guarantee complete accuracy and prevent any potential identification errors.
