Job Description: Fabrication Associate – Entry Level

Ferguson is currently seeking a Fabrication Associate – Entry Level to join our team!
Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
As a Fabrication Associate, you will play a crucial role in our operations, focusing on the precision and safety of pipe fabrication. Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up and maintaining machinery used for pipe fabrication within the shop.
- Accurately measuring, recording, and calculating quantities of random pipe lengths.
- Cutting pipe using a band saw and/or torch.
- Performing rolling and grooving of single and double random pipe lengths.
- Threading and beveling pipe using Landis machines.
- Moving loose and/or bundled pipe efficiently and safely within the pipe yard.
- Assembling pipe orders, whether they consist of single sticks or bundles.
- Maintaining an organized and tidy work area and ensuring adequate supplies.
- Adhering strictly to vital safety precautions during all fabrication, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping processes for pipe storage and transportation.
- Operating powered industrial equipment in full compliance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson’s safe operating procedures.
Qualifications
We are looking for motivated individuals who meet the following qualifications:
- Prior fabrication experience is preferred, but not required for this entry-level role.
- Demonstrated outstanding math skills and the ability to accurately calculate product quantities.
- Experience and training in operating machinery for cutting and threading pipe according to OSHA regulations is preferred.
- Ability to remain focused on results and perform effectively in a fast-paced customer service environment.
- A strong ability to thrive and contribute positively within an inclusive work environment.

- Competitive Pay Range: $17.17 – $25.76 per hour. Please note that the starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
