Participants in this tutorial will gain invaluable practical experience and theoretical knowledge by:
- Aiding in the care of 4 active bee colonies, directly contributing to their health and sustainability.
- Gaining direct, hands-on experience with comprehensive hive inspection techniques.
- Observing and analyzing bee behavior and colony health, developing a nuanced understanding of apiculture.
- Actively participating in discussion-based sessions, which blend practical fieldwork with current research and critical environmental topics.
- Fulfilling other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success and operations of the beekeeping program.
