Legal Contract Review Intern | Mountain America Credit Union
The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Mountain America Credit Union, located in Sandy, UT, offering an in-office experience. The company operates as a credit union, providing financial services to its members. This role is crucial for executing a specialized legal contract review project, which involves identifying, categorizing, and documenting critical provisions within existing corporate contracts. The intern will play a key role in ensuring robust contract management and compliance by completing this project from May 2026 through August 2026.

• Mission: Design, carry out, and complete an internal contract review project to identify, categorize, and document critical contract provisions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Participate in legal research and analysis of corporate contracts.
• Report: Prepare comprehensive reports for the Deputy General Counsel, General Counsel, and Chief Risk Officer based on research findings.
• Present: Deliver reports and findings to relevant stakeholders within the credit union.
• Advise: Formulate and present recommendations to stakeholders derived from the outcomes of the research.
• Collaborate: Actively participate in meetings with the Legal Team.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career professional who is a law student currently attending an ABA accredited law school, having completed one or two years of law school at the start of the internship.
• Experience: General computer operating skills and fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
• Skills: Excellent writing and communication abilities, strong attention to detail, highly organized, works effectively both independently and as a collaborative team member, and demonstrates persistence in tracking and following up on details.
