Job Title: Bartender – Rockstar of the Party!
Are you a life-of-the-party, gregarious Rockstar who loves creating a vibrant atmosphere and knows your regulars by name? Join our “Come One, Come All” family-run restaurant where we welcome people from all over for great food, great drinks, and great fun! We serve continuously from open until late night and strive to be a home away from home for many Floridians. As a key member of our team, you’ll be instrumental in delivering memorable experiences to our valued guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere strictly to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Craft delicious beverages by mixing liquor and drink ingredients precisely according to company recipes and measures.
- Provide exceptional guest service with a cheerful and courteous temperament, always displaying a neat, clean, and professional image.
- Maintain a pristine, organized, and properly stocked bar area at all times.
- Ensure accurate pricing for all drinks and promotions.
- Possess the ability to serve food following the requisites outlined in the Server Job Description.
- Stay knowledgeable about all drink promotions and specials, clearly answering guests’ questions verbally.
- Accurately and efficiently enter orders into the POS system.
- Skillfully assess guests’ demeanor, identify intoxicated individuals, and promptly determine when to summon a Manager.
- Efficiently handle guest payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only) using the POS system, ensuring transaction accuracy and delivering correct change in a timely manner.
- Execute all assigned opening/closing duties, shift changes, and sidework meticulously.
- Verify proper identification and accurately calculate guests’ age to ensure compliance with legal drinking age requirements.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand/walk 100% of the shift.
- Capable of reaching, bending, stooping, stirring, wiping, and vigorously shaking drinks.
- Frequent immersion of hands in water.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications & Certifications:
- Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc.
- Must successfully complete and pass the Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes.
- Must successfully complete and pass a food safety certification Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes.
