The Tone:
This is a retail sales role at Allen Edmonds. We pride ourselves on handcrafting premium men’s footwear and accessories in the U.S. since 1922, using a traditional 212-step manufacturing process that has remained timeless for over 100 years. As a Sales Associate, you are essential in delivering exceptional service, providing an engaged, customer-first experience that fully embodies the Allen Edmonds brand. You will develop a detailed understanding of our sales process and product line to meet the various needs of our discerning customers.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Engagement: Assist customers by demonstrating products, highlighting their features and benefits, and emphasizing their value.
• Service Excellence: Cultivate a strong service atmosphere by catering to the individual tastes and needs of customers and resolving any questions or concerns professionally.
• Store Operations: Perform essential daily store tasks including stock work, visual merchandising, and contributing to overall store presentation.
• Store Procedures: Timely assist with the opening and closing procedures for the location and support the necessary maintenance of the store and its merchandise.
• Goal Achievement: Work consistently towards the strategic goals of the business, fostering personal development and a continuous push for accomplishment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A foundational understanding of retail sales and customer service principles, preferably within a comparable brand environment or hospitality setting.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in retail store sales, a customer service, or hospitality environment.
• Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities; proficiency in general computer tasks, Microsoft Office, and the capacity to learn new proprietary systems; capable of performing point-of-sale functions, including register operation and cash handling.
• Bonus: A self-motivated approach that enables effective prioritization and multitasking in a collaborative team environment, combined with a strong customer service focus.
