About the Job: Mechanical Engineering Co-Op

Peter Basso Associates, Inc., a leading Mechanical and Electrical Engineering consulting firm, is seeking Mechanical Engineering Co-Ops to join our team in Troy, MI. Our Co-Op program is designed to provide college students with a hands-on learning experience and an accurate view into the field of engineering design.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op, you will provide essential assistance to engineers and designers on various design projects. Throughout your term, your responsibilities may include:

• Working with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and others for building design and/or renovation projects.
• Preparing calculations for a variety of building systems.
• Potentially participating in field work, including preparing field surveys and dimensioning existing systems alongside engineers and designers.

Requirements

• Currently working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• An interest in Architectural Engineering/Engineering Design.
• A 2.7 GPA or higher.
• AutoCAD or Revit experience is a plus!
• Enrolled in an accredited four-year college, pursuing an undergraduate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Ability to demonstrate a basic understanding of engineering fundamentals.
