What You’ll Actually Do
• Software Application: Actively work with industry-standard design software, including AutoCAD and Revit, to contribute to both new building design and renovation projects, translating engineering concepts into practical design outputs.
• System Calculations: Prepare precise calculations essential for various building systems, ensuring designs meet performance criteria and regulatory standards.
• On-Site Data Collection: Potentially participate in valuable field work, which includes preparing detailed field surveys to gather crucial information about existing structures and environments.
• Existing System Documentation: Assist engineers and designers in dimensioning existing systems on-site, contributing to accurate documentation and assessment for project planning and execution.
• Project Assistance: Provide general essential assistance to engineers and designers across a variety of design projects, learning the practical application of engineering principles in a consulting firm setting.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This role requires an early career student currently enrolled in an accredited four-year college, actively working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Candidates should demonstrate a clear interest in Architectural Engineering/Engineering Design, indicating a foundational alignment with the firm’s specialized focus.
• Experience: Applicants must possess the ability to demonstrate a basic understanding of core engineering fundamentals, preparing them to contribute effectively to various design projects. While no specific years of experience are mandated, prior exposure to relevant concepts is valuable.
• Skills: A minimum academic standard is required, specifically maintaining a 2.7 GPA or higher, reflecting a commitment to academic excellence and a solid grasp of foundational coursework.
• Bonus: Previous experience with design software such as AutoCAD or Revit is considered a strong advantage, although not strictly required, as it will facilitate a quicker integration into project workflows.
