• Mission: This person supports the testing of ILD products by helping run test cases, maintaining testing documentation, and ensuring new and updated features work as expected.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Migrate Artifacts: Migrate ILD test artifacts into Symetra’s Test Case Management (TCM) tool.
• Test Functionality: Employ automated or manual testing approaches to test new and updated functionality for ILD products.
• Automate Regression: Use existing regression capabilities to execute repeatable test cases and identify opportunities for automation.
• Automate Repetitive Tasks: Set up and leverage Playwright or Selenium to automate repetitive test cases, replacing manual testing efforts.
• Maintain Standards: Create and maintain test artifacts, ensuring they adopt ILD testing standards.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career professional, currently pursuing an academic degree relevant to software development or quality assurance.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to support software testing efforts, including the execution of test cases and the maintenance of testing documentation. Experience involving collaboration with team members and a readiness to learn and apply testing best practices are expected.
• Skills: Capability to employ both automated and manual testing approaches. Familiarity with test automation tools such as Playwright or Selenium is essential for setting up and leveraging these platforms.
• Bonus: An active interest in assisting with efforts to improve and streamline testing processes and participating in test automation strategy discussions for non-web solutions.
