Territory Sales Internship Summer 2026 | Philip Morris International (PMI)

The Tone:
This is a 10-week summer internship at Philip Morris International (PMI), located in Atlanta, GA. PMI is undergoing a significant transformation, building its future on the purpose of delivering a smoke-free future. This internship plays a key role in supporting the sales and execution of PMI U.S. products, contributing to the company’s objective of transitioning legal-age consumers who smoke to better alternatives.

• Mission: To support sales and executional functions within an assigned geography, aiming to meet or exceed distribution and promotion goals for PMI U.S. products.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Sales Contribution: Contribute to sales objectives by supporting teams in meeting or exceeding distribution and promotion goals within the assigned territory.
• Partnership Development: Develop and maintain strong partnerships with retail, wholesale, and account key decision-makers across the territory.
• Product Presentation: Effectively sell concepts, programs, and products to assigned customers, including merchandising PMI U.S. products in stores for maximum consumer reach.
• Administrative Management: Manage administrative tasks on-time with consistency and accuracy, including expenses and point of sale materials.
• Data Utilization: Utilize available data to develop fact-based presentations for customers and follow established call processes as defined by management.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program, preferably pursuing a Business related major, during the 2025-2026 school year AND returning to the program after completion of the internship.
• Experience: Must have reliable transportation and be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Skills: Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, analytical skills to develop sales plans, planning skills to prioritize activities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong business math skills.
