What You’ll Actually Do
• Safety: Prioritize and practice safety in all operations while performing duties.
• Documentation: Utilize a laptop computer for receiving, documenting, and processing tickets and emails.
• Interpretation: Interpret maps and blueprints to determine the most effective method and sequence for locating utilities.
• Operation: Operate provided locating equipment and technology to accurately identify underground utilities.
• Communication: Maintain effective communication with peers, managers, and homeowners regarding job status and findings.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level position requiring a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Must be eighteen years of age or older and possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on speed and accuracy; physical ability to walk up to 5 miles a day, 2-3 times a week; ability to carry up to 5 lbs of electronic locating equipment for extended periods; ability to lift objects up to 25 lbs, or in excess of 75 lbs with tool aids.
• Bonus: Enjoys working outdoors in various weather conditions and is comfortable working independently.
