Stake Center Locating is dedicated to preventing damage to vital infrastructure, which involves accurately identifying and marking underground utilities using paint and flags. This position directly contributes to public safety and the uninterrupted operation of essential services, with the company providing 100% paid training to ensure new hires develop the expertise needed. What You’ll Actually Do
• Safety: Prioritize and strictly adhere to all safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment at all times.
• Documentation: Utilize a company-provided laptop computer for receiving, documenting, and efficiently processing work tickets and essential emails.
• Planning: Read and accurately interpret maps and blueprints to strategically determine the most effective method and sequence for utility locating tasks.
• Locating: Operate specialized locating equipment and technology provided by the company to accurately identify and clearly mark underground utilities using paint and flags.
• Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with peers, managers, and homeowners regarding locating activities and any arising issues.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an entry-level position; candidates must be eighteen (18) years of age or older and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required for daily commute and company use of the provided vehicle.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, strong problem-solving abilities, and a desire for independent work are essential for success in this role. The ability to read and interpret maps and blueprints, along with operating electronic locating equipment, will be developed through provided training.
