Management Trainee | CED
The Tone:
This is a full-time program at CED, with initial placement and subsequent opportunities varying nationwide based on business needs and requiring relocation. CED is a leading privately held, nationwide wholesaler that supplies essential electrical materials to electricians and contractors, powering homes, office buildings, and critical infrastructure across the country. This Management Trainee program is designed to develop future leaders who will learn every aspect of the multi-million-dollar business, ultimately preparing them to manage their own CED location and ensure the continuity and growth of the company’s vital services.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Learning: Actively learn and master all aspects of the CED business model, including warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, and material handling.
• Customer Engagement: Develop direct customer service and sales skills through counter sales, account management, and exploring business development strategies for market growth.
• Financial Understanding: Gain proficiency in financial transactions, cash flow management, analyzing financial statements, and mastering purchasing and vendor relations processes.
• Project Execution: Understand how to plan, execute, and close projects efficiently.
• Continuous Development: Attend classes and training sessions to learn about electrical products and industry specifics, advanced sales techniques, and effective management and leadership principles.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This program seeks individuals with a preferred Bachelor’s Degree; however, related experience will be considered. No prior industry experience is required, making it suitable for those eager to enter the wholesale electrical supply field.
• Experience: A current, valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required. Authorization to work in the United States is also a must, as CED does not sponsor work authorization now or in the future.
• Skills: You must possess outstanding communication skills (both written and spoken) and a proactive attitude. A strong sales mindset and eagerness to learn are essential, along with the ability and willingness to relocate during and after the program.
• Bonus: Previous sales or customer service experience is a plus.
