About The Role: Entry Level Field Technician I

As an Entry Level Field Technician I, you will perform a variety of testing, project-specific observations, and site assessment duties. These tasks will be conducted under general supervision or following detailed controlled procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate testing equipment and conduct tests on materials such as soil, concrete, and others.
  • Provide assessment of data gathered through detailed reporting.
  • Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams to understand project requirements.
  • Apply specific methods and perform tasks to make detailed observations of site activities.
  • Offer limited interpretation of test and observation results.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and accurate data from all test results.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1 year of construction-related field experience.
  • Driving: Valid driver’s license and a reliable driving record.
  • Availability: Ability to work off-shift hours and overtime as needed.
  • Physical Demands:
    • Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently, and occasionally over 50 pounds with assistance.
    • Ability to kneel and squat occasionally.
    • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
    • Ability to climb occasionally and work at various heights.
  • Sensory Requirements: Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication (hearing) and make discriminations in sound.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications: ACI Certification (American Concrete Institute).
