What You’ll Actually Do
• Design: Assist in the design, evaluation, and optimization of solid waste systems for collection, transfer, recycling, and disposal.
• Inspection: Conduct field inspections and site assessments of landfills, transfer stations, and recycling facilities.
• Analysis: Analyze environmental data and prepare technical reports, charts, and presentations.
• Compliance: Support regulatory compliance efforts, including permit applications, reporting, and documentation.
• Mapping: Perform GIS mapping and spatial analysis related to waste infrastructure and service areas.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field, having completed at least sophomore year by the internship start.
• Experience: No specific professional experience required beyond academic coursework.
• Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bonus: Experience with GIS, AutoCAD, or data analysis tools; ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively; interest in environmental sustainability and public infrastructure.
