About the Job: Product Software Engineer

We are looking for a Product Software Engineer to join our Engineering team and make contributions which will be immediately impactful to our customers and prospects. This role, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, requires contributions across the stack; you will be contributing to front-end, services, integrations, and infrastructure.

As one of the early engineering hires you will get the opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and scaling of the key features that make Vendori stand out from the competition in the CPQ space. Your contributions will be foundational to the platform and critical to long term success of the product.

This role is best suited for candidates who have insatiable curiosity, are quick learners, and who are excellent collaborators. As one of the early hires in a fast-paced start-up environment, you will be expected to take initiative and own your results.

What You’ll Do:

  • Full Stack Software Development: You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining innovative, scalable, and high-performance web applications. You will work on both the front-end and back-end components of our platform, ensuring seamless integration and a smooth user experience.
  • Solution Design: In this role, you will be designing and delivering technical solutions end-to-end. You will collaborate with the Vendori leadership team to understand requirements, and with the engineering team to refine architectural designs and then execute.
  • Code Quality and Testing: As part of your responsibilities, you will maintain a high standard of code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration. You will ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our applications, as well as contribute to improving our development processes.
  • Innovation and Learning: We value innovation and continuous learning. You will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. You will have the opportunity to propose and implement improvements to our technology stack and development methodologies.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
  • 2+ years of professional experience building web-based software applications
  • Experience with AI coding frameworks and methodologies
  • A strong foundation in object-oriented design, API design, and data modeling
  • Proficiency with Javascript/Typescript, HTML/CSS, SQL, and other languages
  • Have delivered projects using frameworks such as React, NextJS, and NestJS
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and Docker
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision while maintaining effective communication with the rest of the company

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience building web-based software applications
  • Ability to design and build flexible data models and UIs which are highly configurable.
  • Functional knowledge of Sales / Finance / Operations processes and/or data affected by CPQ software
  • Proven experience building and maintaining integrations with external systems such as CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot), Finance (Quickbooks, SAP), and ERP (Oracle, SAP)

Location:

This is a hybrid role based in Atlanta, GA and available to candidates eligible to work in, and presently residing in the United States.
