Maintenance Administrative Intern

Boise Cascade has an exciting opening for a Maintenance Administrative Intern. Please review the responsibilities and needed qualifications below and apply today!

Responsibilities

  • Work Order Management:
    • Create new and update existing PM Job Plans within Maximo, utilizing content prepared by maintenance supervisors and operations.
    • Track, update, and close maintenance work orders in Maximo.
    • Print and prepare work orders for distribution.
    • Update and print scheduling documents.
    • Enter labor into Maximo against work orders as required.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Develop Planning Process Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Maintain detailed logs of repairs, preventative maintenance (PM) schedules, and equipment service history.
    • Generate weekly/monthly reports on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance costs.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Schedule meetings, take notes, and update documents.
    • File records.
  • Other duties as directed.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • 1-3 years of clerical or administrative experience, ideally in a maintenance or industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software (e.g., Maximo).
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Occasionally lift items up to 25 pounds.

Typical Work Environment

Maintenance Clerks typically work in an office setting within facilities such as warehouses or manufacturing plants. Occasional visits to production areas or outdoor locations may be required to assist with equipment checks.
