The Tone:
This is an internship at Canon U.S.A., Inc., located in Irvine, CA with a hybrid work schedule. What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Work: Contribute to significant work projects that develop business skills and provide a meaningful contribution to Canon’s business and goals.
• Business Exposure: Learn about Canon’s business, marketing, and strategy initiatives through training, meetings, and presentations.
• Research Feasibility: Investigate the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions, products, and problems.
• Software Design: Focus on creating and designing models for software solutions.
• Research & Development: Conduct applied research and development in areas such as computer vision, 3D computer vision, image and video analysis, and machine learning.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree as of Summer 2025, or an undergraduate/graduate student in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related major.
• Experience: Working experience in Python and/or Matlab, and experience with libraries such as OpenCV and PyTorch.
• Skills: Strong mathematical background, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
