The Tone:
This is an internship at RAVE Aerospace LLC, located in the US. RAVE Aerospace is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to contribute to the design, development, and improvement of software features, tools, and automation. This role is crucial for resolving software bugs, supporting testing efforts, and collaborating across various teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software products. The intern will learn and apply software development principles within an aerospace context, gaining practical experience in the full software development lifecycle.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Software Development: Assist in the design, development, and improvement of software features, essential tools, and critical test automation scripts, contributing directly to product enhancements.
• Bug Resolution: Learn and actively contribute to the process of bug triage and problem resolution under the direct guidance of experienced software engineers.
• Quality Assurance & Documentation: Support comprehensive testing initiatives, contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, and participate in continuous integration efforts to maintain software quality.
• Collaborative Design: Participate in constructive discussions with other developers to thoroughly understand and clarify software requirements, and work with internal teams to support product success and delivery.
• Process Adherence: Learn and diligently follow established organizational processes and the structured phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) within the team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, having completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework.
• Experience: Possess a basic understanding of object-oriented programming principles, foundational software development methodologies, and familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Skills: Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail, particularly valuable for bug resolution and thorough testing processes. Exhibit excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork.
