We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team at Everline Resort & Spa in California’s Olympic Valley as a Golf Operations Associate. This seasonal position offers a unique opportunity to work in a stunning mountain environment, contributing to the exceptional experience of our guests and members.

About the Job

As a Golf Operations Associate, you will be an integral part of our golf course operations, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all golfers. Your responsibilities will span a variety of crucial tasks, combining customer service, administrative duties, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Service & Sales: Handle financial transactions for golfers, including greens and cart fees, and merchandise sales. Answer telephones, schedule tee times, and provide comprehensive information about golf and other recreational activities. Develop an atmosphere of professional friendliness, recognizing guests as they enter the golf shop.
  • Operational Support: Control play on the course when a starter is not present. Provide pertinent information to golfers regarding daily conditions and course directions. Issue and process returns of golf carts and rental equipment, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Maintenance & Stocking: Monitor and maintain the driving range and practice areas, re-stocking golf balls as required. When not busy at the counter, help police the area and restock merchandise.
  • Administrative & Financial: Responsible for financial records and accounting functions necessary to open and close, complying with administrative needs. Secure payment methods upon reservation or activity check-in.
  • Membership Retention: Play an integral role in membership retention by providing exceptional service and fostering a positive golf experience for members and guests.
  • Recreation Assistance: Record guest reservations in appropriate logs and assist in the preparation and implementation of recreation programs.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a hospitality or resort/golf environment preferred.
  • Ability to provide legible communication and directions.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

This role requires a reasonable level of physical activity to successfully perform the essential functions:

  • Regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear.
  • Capable of walking or standing 90% or more of a normal 8-hour work shift.
  • Capable of frequently carrying, lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 30lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Will be exposed to an indoor and outdoor working environment with a usually moderate noise level.
  • Typical equipment used includes radios, golf carts, cleaning supplies, handheld devices, phones, and computers.

Wage Range: $20.00/hr
