What You’ll Actually Do
• Kitchen Sanitation: Execute comprehensive dishwashing duties and perform general cleaning and sanitation tasks across the food service department, ensuring a consistently hygienic and safe environment for food preparation and service.
• Food Preparation & Production: Accurately prepare cold food items and contribute to salad production, following established guidelines to provide appealing and wholesome meal components for patients and customers.
• Patient & Customer Service: Engage directly with patients and customers by serving food, handling cashier duties, and facilitating tray passing and delivery, maintaining a courteous and positive interaction to enhance their dining experience.
• Meal Distribution Logistics: Efficiently load food carts for transport and ensure the accurate and timely delivery of meals to designated areas, directly contributing to the smooth flow of daily meal operations.
• Supply Management: Oversee the receiving and proper storage of food service supplies, ensuring inventory is organized and readily accessible to support continuous departmental operations and maintain supply chain integrity.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career professional demonstrating foundational capabilities in service-oriented roles, ready to contribute to a critical support function within a healthcare setting.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of practical experience gained within a service-related environment or industry, showcasing a history of reliable performance in customer-facing or operational support capacities.
• Skills: Proven ability to cultivate and maintain positive relationships with a diverse range of patients and customers, aiming for high-quality satisfaction in food service. This includes communicating courteously, considerately, and cooperatively with all patients, guests, fellow team members, and hospital personnel.
• Bonus: High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred, indicating a commitment to foundational education that supports understanding and adherence to established procedures.
